WinDVD Platinum is the latest version of WinDVD. It has improved video and audio, and has added several brand new features. It is still a simple-to-use DVD player with all the features of a standard consumer DVD player, but there's so much more for you.It still gives you all the great features of WinDVD Platinum like DivX support, Dolby Virtual Speaker and Video Effect, but some new extras were added, including: Movie Encyclopedia; Hyper-Threading Technology Support; Progressive De-interlacing; and support for gamma correction, 96 kHz/24 Bit Audio Decoding, LanguageMate, Windows Media support and much more.

Old trick for trial -> retail seems to be working.
The WinDVD.exe is a SFX CAB archive. You can depack it to a folder.
Then, use some decent hex-editor to open the file setup.inx.
Go to offset 0x2244a (hexadecimal). There should be byte '5a' (in hex).
Change this to '5b', save changes and start Setup.exe

It is also possible to replace the original setup.inx with the modified one in the file WinDVD.exe and then run it (it doesn't make any difference).

I have used the Intervideo over 1 year but i have change it to PowerDVD by cyberlink because it make problems with some of codecs that are installed on PC with .ax extension you know, and second its to BIG in file size. Why 0ver 50 MB for one DVD Player :-). There are bundled with DivX 6x codec and other shit inside you know what i mean.....

So it your choice what player you should install on your computers...
