this program is just bloatware with a decent interface.
tha options to clean and tune windows are just a few.

besides its a pain in the butt that the program tries to connect thousands times to the net, even the setup routine tries many times. totally useless program.

tried the smactivator7 did it, and it went off tried opening sm7 couldnt, shut it down, and tried to open it again still not opening reinstalled and installed and didnt load sm7 so i went back to sm6

i even tried on my laptop, and it did the same thing, so i will wait tell a working key comes out, and keep my fingers crossed it works after install

I really hate those kinds of software specially TuneUp...The destroy you PC...They even make it so slow after a while...I had an experience once with TuneUp with my AMD X2 system and it was slow as turtle...The mouse was even glitching like a Pentium 2 PC. I re-installed windows 3 or 4 times trying to find a solution and the last time I removed TuneUp, PC was fine! Your windows is good as it is! Don't use REGISTRY CLEANERS!!!

Hrm... alisalem, assuming one program is just like another is just foolish. Here to testify that I have been using system mechanic since version 3 and its only made EVERY pc that I put it on faster. Its not just about the program, its also knowing how to use it. Plus there are some tweaks you can do that aren't a part of system mechanic. Think about the logistics... M$ makes a VERY generic OS to be able to span across all types of systems since they are built so many different ways. Customizing your pc to operate more efficiently is only sensible. This is how you can make an unattended version of your OS removing soooooooo much crap from the original setup and reduce it to 165MB instead of a 700MB OS that you probably don't even use half of to function.

LOL even better yet i started up my system mechanic 7.0.1 and it said "License has been deactivated" so.. yeah next step?

P.S. Jih_, I just removed SM7 and went back to 6.0u.

I think that 7 is far better...I tried it for 2 days and it is surely better..so i can't go back to 6.don't give up..cause sooner or later...we'll find a way...hehe

ok....it works with v7.0.1(!) but does the activator works with 7.0.3 version too?

It should do...it does not work on my system for some reason....I can't even open the software after a successful install..it just stays on my desktop...and does nothing when double clicked...:( anyone have any ideas why?

What I do:
1. Shut down internet connection.
2. Install SM 7 pro (downloaded yesterday)
3. Reboot
4. Shut down internet connection.
5. Run activator which says "Licensor not detected"
6. Run SM... Press "Enter license"... Activator says "Licensor detected, but nothing could be done"... Override button still grey.
Any suggestions?.........

And you schould have closed not only your internet connection, but also your antivirus and firewall. It is necesary to install the programm successfully.
