i agree with u 100%. but i noticed that ie6 startsup much faster than firefox and on many sites ie6 rendering is way faster . i hope mozilla does something about this.

Sorry every body, I've been using Firefox for a long time, but I think this latest incarnation is rubbish.  It's highjacked my homepage and no matter what I do it always defaults back to the Mozilla home page, and I find more and more that I have to transfer to IE simply to get anything done - I am actually submitting this post since in IE since Firefox simply will not connect.  I have even tried re-installing the previous version but the new one keeps popping up.  All the worst faults of the MS juggernaut, which I thought we'd started to fight back against

Highjacked your homepage??? I don't have the slightest idea what are you talking about. You can always change your homepage of your firefox by selecting Tools -> Options -> General -> Home Page & then typing the URL of your desired homepage in the Location(s) box & click OK.

If you can't connect to internet through your firefox first check your firewall configurations & then select Tools -> Options -> General -> Connections -> Connection Settings & then configure your proxy.

If everything fails then use your crap browser... IE :-)

Done all that, first things I checked, of course, but all as originally set. When I go into Options to re-set my homepage, it is still showing my original, it's just that it never comes up, I just get the Firefox one. This on two computers, started on both independently just as soon as the latest upgrade installed itself, which took place several days apart.

The new incarnation is definitely a retrograde step
