Internet Download Manager (IDM) is a tool to increase download speeds by up to 500 percent, resume and schedule downloads. What is new in version 5.09?

- Completely redeveloped the logic of taking over downloads
from all browsers. Fixed erroneous interceptions of the web
pages that IDM treated as downloads in the past,
for example, it happened in some cases on rapidshare sites

- Build 4:
- Fixed a critical bug in IDM grabber.
- IDM shows a dialog if a site does not allow requesting the same
file twice and if the site sends a web page to IDM instead of
a download.

- Build 3 fixes bugs when taking over some downloads from Firefox
and other Mozilla based browsers

- Build 2 fixes a bug with "Thumbnails view" in IDM grabber
on Windows Vista

i swear to u that gag uploaded his IDM509B4. i already downloaded it. and i reupload it in 3 hosting site. an hour later i check back, my post is gone and same as gag's post. but u can download from my link. rest assured that it is gag's file and i did not repack the file. mayb something wrong with the 9down site. i just dont understd why the post vanish...

i really dont understand why the post before has been removed. but anyway, i will try my best to give the active link to 9down members! luckily i downloaded gag's file fast. if not, all of us dont hv gag's IDM anymore.

If you mean the Systemupdater, than it is a tool, which includes the GAGs Patch for 5.09 build4 only.

please people this aint no forum to play politics or boast around please let people be benefited from the works of people like GAG and i didnt think of this even in imagination that people can go to the limit of removing the post by a member just so others cant use his patch man there is seriously a problem.....

jz download the internet downlaod manager from gag. then follow the steps inside the file and install it.

When I use ARN patch or gag's IDM locks up my opera browser until I close IDM. It never did that in earlier builds. Does anybody else have that problem?

yes, i face the same problem also. it lock up the IE and firefox. it happened in win xp. but in win2k, gd, no problem. i try to reinstall the IDM. still the same, mayb i should try some time later.

the patch should not causing any problem, i consider this as IDM bugs.

Use Firefox instead. Do not use IE or Opera.

@user1, Timan: In Firefox disable the IDM integration extension manually. Download Flashgot instead and use it to integrate IDM in Firefox.

@User1, I see that you have been busy a lot. Giving precious help to new members. Keet it up mate. I also read about the browser locking stuff... Guess it is an IDM bug too. Hopefully they'll remedy to that in the next build. They come up with them so frequently! :->

@olexijl, Great work mate. I see that you have now a cleaner interface. Looks very nice too.

well, i guess i got virus in my pc, i restore my original backup image and everything go back to normal. the IDM no longer lock down my internet browser. anyway, i will test to confirm again whether it was caused by virus/malware or the IDM itself.

user1, what virus did you get? (svchost.exe torjan by any chance?) Not only browser gets locked up, but also Total Commander if I open IDM through it. So it's not just a problem with browsers. So now I completely removed IDM and waiting on a fix.

i think my os was infected with the bad active x, but im not so sure is it IDM itself or the os. hope that ppl who using this build can share their experience.

after the 509build4 caused the lock down, i uninstall it, clear the reg. then install to previous version 508. still lock up the internet browser. i only got Internet browser lock down but other apps work jz nice.

@User1 Sorry to hear that your pc got infected. Hope it's all good now.

Possible soln: when you load IDM unselect use advanced browser integration and see if the lockdown is gone. I -->have not<-- tested this on this version of IDM though, but I remember that at one time I had problems with advanced integration.
Also I would advise to unselect all the stuff presented under browser/system integration under the options-->general. Hope it works. If you test that, your results would be more than welcome mate..

What's strange is that on my computer at work (XP also) that same build 4 works fine with all browsers and Total Commander. The same ARN patch was applied. So I don't think it's IDM's fault. Something else is conflicting.

need help plsssss,

when idm is running i cannot access my desktop, the icons, everything on the desktop can't access, but when i close the idm i can access my desktop again. i tried running it from its folder now i can't access the folder that opened the idm. when closed the idm i can access the folder again.

whats wrong? need help ppppllllllllllllsssssss.

well, seems that the idm509build4 really hv some bugs. before that i also hv this kinda problem. but after i format win then reinstall the idm509build4, no prob now. let's wait for the next build patiently.

or u can try to install the prvious build. for the previous it has no prob at all. if u want a previous build u can let me know. i will upload for u.

Does anyone here know how to configure IDM with BitDefender AV 10, so that BitDefender will automatically scan ALL the files that IDM had finished downloaded?? TQ

sorry for this guys, i know this is not the right places to do this, but i need help again,
i have win xp sp2, my unit won't respond until the current task is finish, for ex. when i'm checking my mails with MS OUTLOOK my unit just stop responding until the outlook is finish, it is not like this before, the same with other programs but less wait.
help would be appreciated thanks

already have idm 5.7 one day it shows error msg as u r using corrupted version n fake pwd n after that i automatically uninstalls . now i install from tnl idm 5.4 it also not accepting , after patching also same error shows

if i need to install idm means i need to reinstall xp?
or how to change the registry settings
