Radeon Omega Catalyst Drivers will provide gamers with an alternate set of drivers, ones that have more options and features than the original sets. The drivers contain optimizations, extra features (like OC capabilities), more resolutions and internal tweaks that can give them the edge in a gaming enviroment over the normal drivers, which are often tailored for synthetic benchmarks. All Omega driver sets are tested to ensure maximum compatibility and reliability.
What's New in Omega Drivers v3.8.291 ? [*] Based on the Catalyst 6.9 Official drivers. [*] Soft mods are now supplied by Tech Power Up. [*] Updated to Multires 1.58
Known Issues: 1) From Cat 6.6 and up ATI removed driver-level support for the following series of cards (including Mobility models): 7000, 7200, 7500, 8500, 9000, 9200, 9250. Since the Omega Drivers use ATI drivers as a base, that means they will also not include support for these chipsets, they may install, but the PC may give you a BSOD or a black screen upon boot.
I have used nVidia cards for many years... have used the nVidia Ti 4800 128mb for the past 5 yrs. without any problems whatsoever, on any game I played... that is until Oblivion!... bought an ATI 9800 Pro 128mb card and the game plays flawlessly along with the others I play... I used to think ATI was junk!... Now I have to admit that ATI has much improved their drivers and will stick with them for now... not sure if I will ever go back with nVidia now, being somewhat impressed with ATI.
Come on what do you think? You come here to post your negatives about ati in a driver release? Well to answer your stupid question I will give you an answer that you are hoping to hear. No there is not a single person out there that buys ATI. Ati is just a big HUGE company that like to manufacturer graphics cards and other things for the hell of it even if nobody buys it. As far as your comment goes for the 6600GT I owned one once. When I played BattleField 2 I could not use 4x AA and all high settings to run the game smoothly. Upgrade to ATI and you will see the light. AMD_ATI is a HUGE company that drarfs nvidia! I dont' understand you or your smartass comment if you are looking to have people flame you and ignore your posts then keep up what you have started!

Ok...but I was thinking that nVidia is way better, especially since it's a much larger company. Anyhow...I have a 6600 GT, and it's running amazingly well...so I'm happy for now. :)

Hey all I installed this a few days ago and I had an issue with BattleField 2. I the enemy forces were not detailed they were just black also when I would choose to zoom in with a scoped gun the screen went black. I have a PowerColor X800GTO 256MB PCIe graphics card. Has any1 else had a similar problem or something different? If so how did you fix it? I uninstalled and went back to Radeon Omega Driver v3.8.273 (Catalyst 6.7) until I can get this issue solved. Thanks for any clues you can provide for me.

thats mean my ati asus 9550GE doesnt support this driver....????
Hmmm...I have the same graphics card in my ripp/internet machine I have a Sapphire Ultimate Edition 9800Pro 256MB AGP and it installed and works without a hiccup. Its odd that my gaming machine with the X800 GTO would have problems with the new driver. I have no clue what is going on. I emailed the dude that releases the Omega driver and told him the deal I have not heard anything from him so far. The only thing I can figure is that it might just be the luck of it I got bad luck to begin with :-) but dont' we all sometimes. I reinstalled 6.9 and checked a few other games some work ok some are trippin on the new driver. Here are a few more that are giving me problems. FarCry,WarCraft 3, Star Wars Empire at War, F.E.A.R, Doom 3 is the worst so far. I cant' even read the main game menu when it loads. Bounce around check some of your games out see if any are acting weird. I got more than a handful that do not agree with the new driver. I unisnstalled it and reloaded v6.7 and all the problems go away??? :-) Who knows???? :-)

some games run better on the gf4 ti than 9x00, because the geforce 4 ti doesn't support dx9, so it doesn't run the game at full capabilities (yeah old cards i know) and there is another thing the anisotropic's algorithm of ati's are much better than nvidia's, i'm talking about the newer cards, there is no compararison, and for the one who says nvidia is better, they don't know a shit. nvidia only wins because they use two gpus, it is the case of the gx2 take for comparision the top individual ati, and the top nvidia... lol

Guys, any ideas on why I get HWT&L (hardware accelerated transfer and lighting) not supported on my Invidia Vanta driver when I try to play Delta Force Xtreme? Any suggestion(s) of where to get an appropriate driver for Invidia (but not their website) will be very pleasing... pleeeeeez.
