Something serious happened to my windows XP...

I had installed Windows Media Player 11 on my PC yesterday... but I didn't like it much as compared to Windows Media Player 10. So I decided to uninstall it by going to Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs ->Add/Remove Windows Component & checked on Windows Media Player & executed it....

But to my horror everything, which was on the list, was unistalled... Right from Accessories to Windows Messenger even IE was also uninstalled.
And the damn thing was that it had only removed wmplayer.exe from Windows Media Player folder.

I managed to reinstall IE & some other programs but couldn't bring back Games, Calculator & some other programs cuz it said "Insert Windows XP Proffessional Installation CD" which I don't have.

I visited microsoft's site but they are asking for Windows Genunie Validation for downloading any of their softwares so I decided to ask you people for help.

Does anyone has those installation files which I mentioned above???

I would be grateful to anyone who helps me out :-)

You will need to get your hands on a xp cd, theres still plenty of links out there, If you have a legal version on your computer now make sure to write down the key. When things go bad you really have to have the cd handy.
Bad luck on the 0S, I have been using media player 11 since the first release, it is better than 10 but takes a bit of getting used to, lot of diff on the display and controls.
          Hope this helped.

WMP 11 seems to be causing a lot of problems; maybe not a final stable version, then...

Bad luck with your XP installation. Time to get your CD and reinstall, buddy.
